This is a watercolour and acrylic painting by Marie Collins of Conwy Castle, North Wales – as seen from the foot path beside the river Conwy. The Castle was built was by Edward 1 during his conquest of Wales between 1283 and 1289. It was built as a fortification to create Conwy. The painting also depicts and elderly gentleman going for a walk to his favourite bench.
