Chequered Skipper Butterflies

This is a small watercolor and ink work that is part of a series of butterflies rare as well as commonplace, found in the British Isles.

These butterflies are flitting amongst Purple Moor-grass and False Brome, both kinds of grass vital as their food source.

Painted using professional watercolour paints on Fabriano 185lb watercolour paper.

The painting is 4.75 x 6.75 inches, and the total size with white mount and black frame is 9.50 x 13 inches. The Painting can stand freely or be hung on the wall
