Down to the River

This painting is based on the themes of water, texture and the tranquillity of nature.

Taken from the inspiration to a local river to me, the river Taff, this river runs from the Brecon Beacon down to Cardiff, South Wales.

Rivers are a wealth of life and mystery and are often attributed to journeys and travel. Rivers can be symbolic of our lives, how we overcome obstacles and are shaped by choices we make. How we strive, how we learn, how we grow.
