Golden Cave Painting

My method of painting has developed over decades. I am inspired by the old masters of illustration in my style of drawing/painting and as I have pareidolia (I see images in patterns or textures) my method is a combination of children’s style illustrations and transparent watercolour technique where transparent thin glazes of water colour are a layered up to create rich colours.

I create my art using the klecksography technique of painting washes of watercolour and then drawing the images with pen and ink or more paint, when they appear in the paint, it’s like seeing shapes in clouds. The paintings I create are intuitively created biomorphic artworks that contain hidden objects, references to myths, history and technology.

As I never sell prints each painting is a true one of a kind original piece of art. My paintings are in private collections across the globe and also adorn the walls of the meditation centre in the UK where visitors are invited to reflect upon the images during meditation. Prices reflect time spent on the painting and cost of materials. Painting dimensions include a white boarder of about 1 cm .
