Irish Bog Land

This an original on painting on trimmed  panel. It depicts the Irish bog land where my mother  grew up in Co. Tyrone, outside Omagh . Where her father and brothers cut turf to burn in the open fire and later the range . The house where she grew up over looked this beautiful bog land, where you could see for miles across the heather and turf banks ,the fields to the hills and sky line, with only the sound of the birds to break the silence – I can only try to capture its rugged beauty .

This painting comes unframed and is on trimmed panel. The framed picture is only to give you idea how it would look framed on your wall.

You will receive a certificate of authenticity with this painting. I finish my paintings with a layer of protective gloss varnish. You will also receive a thank you note from the artist.
