This Painting by Marie Collins is a view of Penarth Pier, Vale of Glamorgan. You see the pier as you are strolling along the promenade. The Victorian Pier was opened in 1898 and was and was a popular attraction for seaside-goers also for those who enjoyed the pleasures steamer that used to go from the pier. The beach front is made up mainly of greyish cobbled stones and when the tide has gone out there is a bit of sand to play on. It is a popular site for a nice Sunday stroll along the prom.
The mediums used for this painting are watercolour and acrylic but the main medium is watercolour. This painting can be framed (white) which is also included in the price.
