Red Flowers in Glass Vase

A cut-glass vase with its bouquet of red and white flowers attracted attention when sunlight came through the window and lit everything up.  My aim was to capture the backlit effects on the flowers and the sparkle of the glass, plus the slightly dusty nature of the sunbeam through the window.

The work is lightly fixed with spray fixative and will be protected with glassine paper, before placing between rigidly taped boards prior to final packaging. The boards help to prevent slippage during transit and buyers are encouraged to keep the pastel secure between the boards while waiting for framing of their choice.
