A single rose painted during March lockdown 2020 in an impasto style.
This rose was painted as a poignant thought about the impermenance of nature.
It’s related to the Japanese concept (Mono no aware) – a transient gentle sadness (or wistfulness) at the passing of things as well as a longer deeper gentle sadness about this state being the reality of life.
Ready to hang : framed in floating black frame with hanging fixing.
Original artwork, signed on back.
