The Unspoken Haiku series is inspired by the notion that artworks have a presence that transcends their physical materials. This collection of small, abstract paintings do not have one specific message. They communicate differently to each viewer , and the viewer’s response changes depending on external and internal influencing factors, such as mood, the time of year, the weather, and so on. I regard them as objects of meditation, which mirror one’s state of mind, and provide a vehicle for contemplation.
Works in The Unspoken Haiku series come with the accompanying haiku written out by the artist on a white card.
These paintings do not come with a frame. A white mount (mat), 10.5 x 10.5 inches is included. I can provide a rectangular mount if preferred, but since the painting is small I recommend sticking to roughly the same surface area.
