The Old Stables

This ramshackle old stable block is in my village on the Lincolnshire coast. Yet on a hot summer’s day, in beautiful bright sunshine, it reminds me of so many places I’ve been to throughout my life. It feels nostalgic and evocative, of happy times, of family holidays, of my childhood, and serves as a reminder of how time moves on.  

This original chalk pastel painting is ready to hang in a white frame with acid free white mount. It measures approximately 30cm by 38cm (framed dimensions). The frame is white wood, with a high-clarity plastic safety glass to ensure minimal glare and so it isn’t damaged in transit. The painting is signed on the back as well as in the corner on the front. The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity. It will be delivered carefully packaged in bubble wrap and in a sturdy cardboard box. The price includes postage and packaging to UK mainland.
