Callidryas

The subject of this piece is the brilliant red-eyed tree frog. Brightly coloured and a wonderful character, Stevie captures the vibrance of this little rainforest-dwelling creature. The name, Callidryas, is the scientific name of the red-eyed treefrog: A. callidryas. The word comes from Greek words Kalos (beautiful) and dryas (a tree or wood nymph).
