Cliff Face

‘Cliff Face’ (2024)

Watercolour intuitively painted shows a biomorphic cliff face, debris and parasitic lifeforms cling to a titan who has now woken. The painting uses the Zorn palette, inspires by Anders Zorn it has two colours; ochre and red, plus black and white. A limited palette allows me to paint more intuitively and focus on bringing out the images that appear to me in the washes of watercolour as it dries. However, I only use a little white pigment in my watercolours as I like the beauty of the paper to shine through.

This artwork uses only archival, finest quality materials and non-fugitive colours to ensure it will last for generations, although please note that you should never display any artwork in full sunlight. It comes unframed with a boarder of about 1 cm to allow for easier framing.
