Goodnight

I love to paint intimate corners of a home that are usually overlooked, and that tell a story. This painting is inspired by my recovery from insomnia, and represents the often contradictory relationship we have to bedtime. It can bring feelings of safety and relaxation, but can also often be fraught with anxiety and loneliness. I also love how personal everybody’s bedside table is, and how nobody else really knows what bedtime means for others.

This is a chalk pastel painting on sanded paper. It is ready to hang in a white frame with acid free white mount.

It measures approximately 28x23cm (framed dimensions).

The frame is white wood, with a high-clarity plastic safety glass to ensure minimal glare and so it isn’t damaged in transit.

The painting is signed on the back as well as in the corner on the front. It will be delivered carefully packaged in bubble wrap and in a sturdy cardboard box.
