In this painting, I explored the depths of human connection against a vast, tumultuous backdrop, symbolizing the unpredictable journey of life. The rich acrylic colors express raw, emotional intensity while blending impressionism with a touch of surrealism. The figures, (Muslim women) enveloped in blue amidst the expansive red, represent our shared experiences and support systems. One of the women is falling to the floor, with a painful expression on her face. This piece was meant to depict Iraq in the early 2000s, but is equally relevant for conflicts now. Five Muslim women are shown, one of whom is collapsing with a painful scream. They are against a surreal background.
