Lonely Violet

A bright watercolour painting of a single freshly cut violet in a small glass vase.  I was inspired by the flower’s colourful flower head lit by the warm Summer sunshine coming into my studio.  I decided to focus only on the flower and vase, producing a colourful and interesting, but simple painting.  The work has been painted on high quality HP 100% cotton paper, with A J Ludlow’s Professional Watercolours.  It measures 19cm x 30cm and comes unmounted and unframed.
