Mantua cross The River Po, Italy

This watercolour painting was painted on site of the Italian medieval city of Matua (Mantova) from across the River Po. It was a glorious September morning with the sun about to break through the clouds. I had spent the morning painting in the medieval city before coming across this view on my way back to my hotel.
