Nature in a post natural world

Biomorphic landscape, richly detailed. I paint intuitively, utilising my pareidolia and the capriciousness of watercolour to bring out images as the paint suggests them to me. This way of painting is liberating as I paint without judgement of what I see and allow the painting to reveal what it will be.

The artwork is painted using watercolour, ink, pastel and metallic pigment. It shows a futuristic landscape of Mars in ruins. Strange plant and animal life, architecture and technology and a pool of green liquid.
