Stormy sky over Fidra island

A dramatic view, with a spectacular sky, of Fidra Island and its lighthouse, just off the beautiful Firth of Forth coast of East Lothian, just down the coast from Edinburgh. I lived in East Lothian for ten years, and often walked my dog on these beautiful, often empty, beaches. The apparent hole through the cliff below the lighthouse in my painting, is real  – worn right through by millennia of  seawater erosion.  The painting is on a 1.5 inch deep box canvas, painted around the sides, and ready to hang as is.
