FramedThe artist acknowledges that this picture is rather strange and spooky, but in a good way. Someone said that there were shades of Dickens’ Miss Havisham there. What it actually is is a study of a wedding display in Lyme Regis Museum, Dorset, painted through the display glass with the reflections and artificial light forming part of the work. Within the subject is a painting of an old seamstress fitting a bride’s dress. The artist of that is unknown or I would have given credit.
The painting is oil and framed in a plain white wooden frame. Outer dimensions are W22.5″xH18.25″.
