Wye Valley Winter View

A painting of a view looking out from Beacon Hill in Wales over the Wye Valley to the English hills of Gloucestershire. There is frost on the trees and snow on the ground amongst the dead bracken stems of winter. Only the evergreen trees are green, but I have given a small stand of birch trees black and white trunks and branches with the frost and winter cold. The sky is clear apart from a few low clouds that gently mist the valley. It is one of my favourite views seen from one of my favourite walks summer or winter.

This oil painting is framed with an oak-effect frame 2cm wide and 3cm deep, and is wired ready to hang.
