I have always been fascinated and inspired by the natural world. I love the details that others seem to miss that I can capture in a painting.
I am now working with Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC). My mission while I am here is to showcase the abundance and beauty of the life that can be found in Cambodia’s oceans, to inspire people that it is worth protecting, even if we cannot always see what is going on beneath the surface.
So far while working with MCC I have done several paintings inspired by the life found around Koh Seh, the Cambodian island on which they are based. I have done live painting for people to watch as I work and donated one of my paintings to the prime minister of Cambodia. I think it is important to inspire people from all backgrounds that our oceans are in need of protecting, from individuals that can choose not to take a plastic bag, to governments that can change laws.
