Mark Pender

I have been painting and exhibiting for many years but, until retiring from full-time work in London in 2017 and moving to the West Country, my career as an artist took second fiddle. I launched my “Dorset period” in 2018, opening my Sherborne studio, and since then have actively pursued my art. I exhibit regularly with galleries, local societies and art fairs. I paint mainly in oils, but also other media and have developed a reputation for whimsical or humorous work, often based on fairy tales or fable. Artwork500 is a superb channel though to showcase the whole range of my portfolio.
