Sarah Wakely

Cambridge based mum of one, I studied Art in Cambridge until age 18.

Now I work part-time and look after my 3 year old son, but when free time allows, I spend as much time in the studio as possible, exploring acrylic art and new techniques and styles. 

I enjoy working predominantly with mixed media, abstract and fluid art techniques. I love texture and allowing my paintings to evolve layer by layer, being able to be totally creative. My work is inspired by many things – emotions, nature and the outdoors.

I like to think about ordinary things and present them in different ways, using embellishments, flow and texture to add interest to each piece and allow the viewer to decide what they see and how it makes them feel.
