Irish Coffee

This is a painting of a restaurant dining table at the end of the meal containing the remains of two glasses of wine and a full Irish coffee. This Irish coffee in its handled glass on a saucer and with spoon is the centre of attention in the painting. It looks delicious with its creamy topping. I used thick white paint for the cream, which focuses the eye on this centre of attention drink. Beyond the table there are other people at their dining tables and a waiter taking an order.

I have painted the edges of canvas white so that it can be hung on the wall as it is, or dropped into a frame.
